Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Safety
Hormone therapy is not approved for pregnant or breastfeeding individuals. Patients must notify their provider immediately if pregnancy occurs or is suspected.

Controlled Substances & Prescribing
Some hormone therapies (e.g., testosterone) are regulated as Schedule III controlled substances under federal law. Prescriptions will follow strict DEA and state guidelines.

State-Specific Restrictions & Clarifications
Florida: Hormone therapy is permitted via telehealth with appropriate labs, patient identification, and follow-up.

California: Telehealth hormone prescribing is permitted but requires clear documentation of medical necessity and patient identity verification.

Texas: Certain hormone replacement medications may require more frequent in-person labs or physical examinations due to state-level telemedicine laws.

New York: Telehealth prescribing of controlled substances requires compliance with NY Office of Professional Discipline rules; testosterone prescribing is permitted only after completing specific telehealth standards.

Alabama: Enhanced telemedicine restrictions may apply; additional documentation or in-state lab verification may be required.

Arkansas: Certain hormones may require an initial in-person examination unless exemptions apply under Act 421 telemedicine statutes.

These rules may evolve. PharmXHealthOne complies with current state and federal prescribing requirements.
